Abbeymead Primary 2-0 Harewood Junior School
Our Year 6 boys suffered a heart-breaking cup exit after a quite wonderful performance away at Abbeymead in the cup quarter-finals. A tight first half finished 0-0 with Harewood hitting the bar on the stroke of half-time. After spurning several huge opportunities, Harewood went 1-0 down to a deadly counter attack before conceding a scrappy second goal in the final minutes as they gamely chased an equaliser. All of the Harewood squad can be hugely proud of their fabulous performances and dedication.

What a game! 7 year 6s played a netball game against Hardwick on the 6th December and they were all superstars. Even when the other team were becoming more tactical, Harewood players persevered and got a well deserved win of 10-5. Super work everyone, proud of you all!

Kingsholm Primary 2-3 Harewood Junior School
Heartbreak for our Y6 boys who succumbed to two late goals to take nothing from a game in which they dominated and looked well on track for all three points. Leading 2-1 at the break, this entertaining encounter between two well-matched sides was a classic case of the away side being made to pay for missed chances, as a flurry of opportunities came and went before two late sucker punches steered the points Kingsholm’s way. The team can all be proud of an outstanding performance and some excellent football.

Harewood Junior School 1 – 0 Elmbridge Primary
Harewood got back to winning ways with a hard-fought, well-earned win in a feisty encounter. The Harewood goalkeeper was rarely troubled as his team peppered the Elmbridge goal, with Harewood unlucky not to prosper by a more emphatic scoreline as they produced a vibrant and dynamic attacking performance, underpinned by steel resilience and superb battling qualities. Well done all!
Y6 GIRLS NETBALL
Thursday 7th October
Beech Green School 3 – 2 HJS
We have had a great start to our netball matches. Despite losing against Beech Green School 3-2, the squad were all superstars! Their perseverance, determination and teamwork made them some fantastic opponents for Beech Green, who commented that they were finding it difficult to choose a player of the match due to them all being so brilliant! Well done team, I am proud of how we have started. (Miss Hale)
6.10.22 – Harewood Junior School 3 – 1 Kingsholm Primary
Our Y6 boys opened their league campaign with a thrilling victory against a highly-competitive and talented Kingsholm side. A tight first half saw Kingsholm squeeze into a lead thanks to an injury time corner. However, in the second half Harewood roared back, scoring three goals without reply to record a highly-pleasing 3-1 win. Well done to all!
13.10.22 – Elmbridge Primary 1 – 2 Harewood Junior School
Our first away trip of the season saw a cagey first half with few chances, with Harewood enjoying the majority of possession but being unable to apply any pressure of note. Confusion in defence saw Elmbridge take the lead early in the second half, before Harewood found their signature resilience, firing back with a well-taken equaliser before a delicious through-ball and finish saw the visitors record a hard earned and well deserved victory on the road.
