Butler’s Farm Anglo-Saxon Archaeological Finds

We explored the fascinating findings from Butler’s Farm, an Anglo-Saxon archaeological dig, by investigating a range of secondary sources about the artefacts discovered at the site. By analysing these sources, we were able to make informed deductions about the people buried there and the lives they might have led. The artefacts, such as jewellery, tools, and pottery, helped us consider aspects like status, occupation, and daily life, while the placement and condition of the skeletons gave us clues about burial practices and beliefs. This process allowed us to think like historians and archaeologists, using evidence to build a picture of life in Anglo-Saxon England.
