We were all really inspired by the amazing presentation given to us by Katherine Rundell. What fabulous stories she has written!

On Friday, Year 5 went to see Sam Sedgman, author of Clockwork Conspiracy, at Cheltenham Literature Festival. We have a fantastic time hearing about the history of time and even watching a science experiment linked to measuring time.

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed our workshop visits from ‘Three Mobile’ where we built upon our Computing skills from Year 3 to create Stop Motion videos – the children’s creativity and storytelling skills were a treat to behold! You can view the videos here.

This week, we were visited by 3-Mobile to explore devices and the different maps we can use to be creative. From IMovie to Green Screens, the children created their own projects with the support for 3-Mobile experts.

It was wonderful to welcome ‘Three Mobile’ into school to deliver a series of workshops for each class. 4BB experienced the chance to write, direct and create their own ‘stop motion’ movies – complete with credits and soundtracks! The children worked brilliantly in their teams, well done all!

We had fun on Friday afternoon reminding ourselves about a variety of games that we can play during playtimes. We set up several zones and the children enjoyed playing lots of different games.

In Friday’s final assembly of the year, Mrs Mills unveiled each class’ reading total for our reading challenge, with an impressive grand total well over the half a million mark – well done to all of the children – keep on reading over the summer holidays!

They had a beauty salon, photo booth, bouncy castles, lots of games and, best of all, pizzas and ice cream for lunch!
