Harewood Junior School achieved an amazing triumph against Churchdown Primary School in the suburbs of Gloucester, Tuffley. It was 2-0 to them on a grey, wet, melancholy day on 16th November 2023. They displayed a stupendous performance against Churchdown for a football league match.
When the hectic match started, into the first 4 minutes, Churchdown took a darting shot at Taten {the goalkeeper} and he dived and saved it. What a save! And in the 7th minute, Tre made a bolting run and dribbled skillfully through the confused players and had a one on one with the Churchdown keeper but, unfortunately, the keeper cleared the ball away. A few minutes later, Riley blasted a powerful long-range shot, which was very close, but wasn’t a goal. Moments later, there was some fantastic defending by Evan, as he kept Churchdown at bay, putting some great tackles in. Fortunately, in the 11th, Tre was in acres of space and dribbled swiftly past the keeper and shot the darting ball at the back of the net. Overall, Harewood’s win was a great triumph in a frenzied league match

Harewood Juniors (red and black kit) vs Churchdown Primary (yellow and blue kit).  Harewood boys clung on to a memorable 2-0 victory. Harewood produced a hard-fought, battling performance to triumph in the Gloucester League clash in Tuffley, on a grey, soggy day (16th November 2023) as the end to end game had amazing passes, dashing saves, darting balls and a back-wall defence which was great.  It was an important game with a lot of passing and it paid off as 11mins in, Tre had a firing ball in from Taten. Tre was darting up the pitch, ball at his feet, past the keeper, and scored a gorgeous goal. A minute later, Churchdown had a whopping chance to score but it was instantly saved by Taten. Soon after it was half time.  23mins in, Demari fired a menacing shot at goal and it had magically whipped past the keeper for 2-0. At 29mins in, there was a penalty appeal for a foul for Harewood but Mr. Brazier (the ref) denied it and that was the end to that terrific game.

On 16th November 2023, Y6 Harewood Junior School’s football team fought very hard and won a 2-0 win against Churchdown in a Y6 boys football match, and it was important as it put them in 1st in the Gloucester school league. It was a grey, miserable day as they scored 2 goals against the restless keeper.
Taking place at the Harewood Junior School field, the Y6’s win 2-0 over a resistant Churchdown side was highly pleasing. With two goals by Tre and Demari, they triumphed over the determined team! With Mr Tasney’s team playing against his old side , he was even more focused to win, with the additional pressure of getting to first place too. The first goal was a 1v1, and the 2nd was a spectacular left corner hit. The man of the match was the superior Taten!

Harewood school had a comfortable job with Churchdown Primary School who looked a bit downbeat. This happened on the 16th of November 2023. Harewood made it into a hard game, it was very tough for Churchdown in the end it was 2-0. Harewood were tough dogs with a ball and Churchdown were weak puppies with no ball. Yet it was very hard for Harewood but it was a hectic, messy, strenuous and laborious game. Four minutes after kick off it was a great save from Taten, it took 14 minutes before Harewood scored, then they got an impressive second goal before half time.

The game took place at a wet, miserable playing fields on Wednesday 16th November 2023. Goals were scored by Tre and Demari.
