On Monday 14th October, a group of 12 Year Six pupils were given the opportunity to join other primary-aged children for the GSP Science Festival at Denmark Road High School for Girls. The objective was to offer an array of ‘hands on’ scientific discoveries and experiments – it certainly didn’t disappoint! The children had the responsibility of demonstrating and teaching children from other schools about the forces at work on paper helicopters. We even got the chance to visit a ‘real school lab’. To end the day, Tim Cox, a chartered engineer from Raytheon UK, gave us an inspirational talk about engineering. The children were fantastic ambassadors for science and our school and showed great enthusiasm, cooperation and collaboration. A great day out!
