The children enjoyed a wide breadth of activities and intensive learning about the ancient Greeks. In our ancient Greek Olympics we learnt about the historical significance of the Olympics and took part in an inter-house competition with events such as the ‘Stadion’ race (sprint) and ‘Diaulos’ race (long distance.) We also had an archeological dig analysing secondary sources and played ancient Greece ‘Top Trumps’ – assessing the qualities, strengths and weaknesses of a wide range of Greek Gods, Godesses and mythical creatures. What a day!
