Year 4 enjoyed a fabulous trip to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre; experiencing a wide range of birds and wildlife linking to our class reader, M.G Leonard’s ‘Twitch.’ The children loved seeing nature up close, and thoroughly enjoyed learning about animals’ adaptations to their environment, and even holding taxidermi of birds’ webbed and palmated feet. We will build on this learning back in school, when we learn about food chains in science.
