Y6 TRIP TO ‘KNIFE ANGEL’ & GLOUCESTER LOCAL HISTORY

Year 6 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Gloucester Cathedral to view the incredible ‘Knife Angel’ sculpture that raised awareness of the perils of knife crime, along with a workshop delivered by Gloucestershire police. The children then conducted a local history tour, identifying key local landmarks such as Robert Raikes house, St.Michael’s Tower and Southgate Street – this will link to our ‘Gloucester history’ unit of work in the summer term. A fun, fulfilling and enlightening day!
