Year 4 took a field trip to Daniel’s Brook. They investigated the flood defenses in place to protect Kingsway and Tuffley from flooding. The children discussed how the balancing ponds, culvers and high banks around were used to control high levels of water, as well as the planting of bull rushes and reeds to help prevent erosion.
